We are looking for a Director to support summer camp operations through a contract opportunity with the potential to become permanent. This position plays a central role in coordinating program administration, family communication, staffing support, and seasonal planning to help deliver engaging camp experiences. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and a service-focused approach while working with children, families, staff, and community partners.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate administrative activities that support seasonal camp programs, including documentation, scheduling, and day-to-day office organization
Track registration and enrollment activity, prepare recurring updates on participation trends, and help maintain compliance-related records in accordance with applicable standards
Serve as a primary point of contact for parents and guardians by responding to inquiries, sharing program updates, and distributing timely announcements before and during camp sessions
Assist with outreach and promotional efforts by helping develop marketing materials, supporting community engagement opportunities, and increasing awareness of camp offerings
Support recruitment and onboarding for camp staff by scheduling interviews, organizing personnel files, monitoring attendance information, and assisting with payroll-related records
Help manage budget tracking and administrative reporting to support financial goals and overall program performance
Contribute to the planning and coordination of camp activities and seasonal offerings by gathering feedback, reviewing prior results, and supporting new program ideas
Foster positive relationships with children and families through attentive, respectful, and responsive communication
Provide general administrative assistance such as answering inbound calls, data entry, receptionist coverage, and other office support tasks as needed
Requirements:
Experience in administrative support, office coordination, or a similar operational role
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with families, staff, and community stakeholders
Proficiency in data entry, record maintenance, and handling multiple administrative tasks with accuracy
Ability to manage inbound calls, front-desk responsibilities, and routine correspondence in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize deadlines and maintain attention to detail
Comfortable supporting hiring, onboarding, and employee file administration
Background in human services, youth programs, education, recreation, or a related setting is preferred
Ability to maintain professionalism, sound judgment, and a positive service-oriented approach in all interactions
