Strong communication and public-speaking skills

Job Responsibility

Deliver KidStrong’s brain, physical, and character development curriculum for all age groups (15 months–11 years)
Maintain high energy, motivation, and clear communication throughout every class
Understand and articulate the “why” behind curriculum elements to parents and children
Ensure classes start and end on time and follow correct pacing
Demonstrate proper movement patterns, physical techniques, and developmental activities
Provide hands-on physical guidance to children to ensure safety and form
Record attendance, awards, and progress data in the KidStrong Coaches App accurately and timely
Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free training floor at all times
Actively supervise 15–30 children in a fast-moving class environment
Ensure proper spacing, spotting, and safety practices

During summer, lead weekly staff in-service trainings and train all staff in proper use of waterfront equipment
Train all staff on non-lifeguard staff on responsibilities and roles, including lookout, fitting PFDs, supervising games and no swimmers, and facilitating the buddy board
Evaluate the swimming skills of all campers and staff during the Swim Check at the beginning of each camper week
Oversee the Across Lake Swim with swim levels required to participate, scheduling, guard coverage, and awarding upon completion
Supervise and direct the camp waterfront program
Set up, secure, and maintain all waterfront equipment
Includes daily equipment checks for safety, cleanliness, and repair
Evaluate lifeguards using the Red Ball Test and Lifeguard Quick Checks daily
Provide feedback and additional training, as necessary
