We are seeking a talented Calypso Software Application manager (Support Technical Lead and Supervisor) to join our dynamic Capital Market IT Department. Capital Markets IT involves technology solutions and systems used in financial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk, counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and Regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like API’s, artificial intelligence and cloud solutions are also becoming increasingly prevalent in capital markets to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes. The FX IT division works across the full value chain to sustain business activity and enable its acceleration (thru integration of new financial products, optimizing and automating front to back business processes). At this role, you will be responsible for managing a mission critical back-office application team. You will lead and develop a global team of application analyst programmers and support analysts, ensuring stability, performance and continuous improvement of production systems used by Capital market business and operations across the globe. Beyond day-to-day operations, you will drive strategic initiatives focused on automation, operational resilience, and process optimization across the department. You will own the development and adaption of bespoke automation systems, leveraging your expertise in Java or .Net, SQL, PowerShell, Unix, Oracle, Control-M etc. As a lead, you will ensure the proper functioning of the team, promote continuous improvement, cooperation, and autonomy. You will oversee removing obstacles from team roadmap. You will be the main point of contact for the Product Owners and Business users. You will oversee and support the team on achieving its objectives on both automation delivery of software libraries and its production stability within the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide comprehensive techno-functional support for capital market applications, ensuring uninterrupted operations and minimizing downtime
  • Collaborate with business analysts, development teams to understand the requirements or troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application-related issues
  • Monitor and analyse system performance, promptly addressing any issues to maintain optimal functionality
  • Monitor the results and quality of the different software solutions and projects implemented in the organisation
  • Oversee the acquisition and development of software systems in organisational units
  • Implement proactive measures to enhance system reliability and performance
  • Respond to user queries and provide effective solutions to application-related problems
  • Develop and maintain documentation for support processes, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of applications with business objectives
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to capital markets
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, automation and development initiatives to elevate the efficiency of support activities
  • Oversee the development of Proof-of-Concept/ solutions and provide technical expertise on the development of software and platform features, ensuring that appropriate security and risk factors are considered

Requirements:

  • 8+ years experience in support activity
  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Programming & Systems Analysis/ Science (Computer Studies) faculties
  • Minimum 7 years hands on experience with Calypso as a back office system
  • Experience on Calypso version 16
  • Hands-on experience in Calypso Back office functionalities: Engines, Events, Filters, Reporting Framework, ScheduledTask, Message / Swift messages, Transfers, Settlement Delivery Instructions, Accounting, Pricers, Workflows, Reconciliation process
  • Understanding of financial assets (FX, money market, cash) and trade lifecycle
  • Experience with regulatory reporting (MMSR...)
  • Strong knowledge in UNIX platform and any relational DB and language (SQL, Oracle, Sybase)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell script, PowerShell, SQL) for automation and monitoring
  • Valuable exposure to tools & technologies like Control-M, KAFKA, Jira, Gitlab, PowerBI, MQ
  • Experience in DevOps Pipeline tooling GIT, Maven/Graven/Nuget/Ansible, Jenkins & artifactory
  • Provide training and guidance to team members
  • Experience in supporting capital market applications, ideally within the dynamic landscape of Back-office operations with a commendable grasp of financial products (FX, money market, Repos, Bonds)
