The Calibration and instrumentation Technician’s primary duties are to calibrate and provide troubleshooting support for facility and manufacturing critical systems. This is done by testing and calibrating electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, analytical, and measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established calibration standards and principles. The Calibration Technician ensures calibration of all critical instrumentations are performed on-time and on schedule.
Job Responsibility:
Perform field Calibrations across multiple facilities (pressure, temperature, speed, time)
Update and maintain calibration database (BMRAM, Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager)
Coordinate with Metrology Contractors and Vendors to ensure calibration of all critical instrumentation is performed according to the schedule and approved SOPs
Coordinate with Operations and Quality in developing the calibration schedule
Review calibration certificates for completeness and accuracy
Maintain calibration standards
Tag all new equipment/instrumentation and assign inventory numbers
Recommends improvements on procedures
Performs other tasks and special assignments as requested by management
Requirements:
1-3 years’ experience in metrology/calibration at pharmaceutical manufacturing company
1- 2 years’ of experience working with instrumentation and calibrations in a GxP environment
1+ year experience working with instrumentation and calibrations in a GxP environment
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, or industrial and HS diploma or equivalent
Nice to have:
Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager experience
Previous experience at a pharmaceutical manufacturer
Military calibration, maintenance and instrumentation training and experience
Low voltage wiring technical and understanding
Instrumentation and Controls
Well versed computer skills and Microsoft Office tools
