We are seeking an experienced Calibration & Instrumentation Technician to support testing and inspection services within the oil & gas sector. This role will focus primarily on laboratory-based calibration, testing, and verification of instrumentation equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. You will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and traceability of measurement equipment used across high-value energy projects.
Job Responsibility:
Perform calibration, testing, and fault-finding on a wide range of instrumentation equipment
Carry out pressure, temperature, flow, and electrical calibrations in a controlled lab environment
Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and calibration procedures
Ensure all calibration activities are traceable to national/international standards
Prepare and maintain accurate calibration reports, certificates, and documentation
Support equipment mobilisation/demobilisation and inspection processes
Troubleshoot and diagnose instrumentation faults and recommend corrective actions
Maintain strict adherence to HSE standards and quality procedures
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely delivery of services
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Calibration or Instrumentation Technician (ideally within oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors)
Strong hands-on experience with calibration equipment and test instruments
Knowledge of measurement principles (pressure, temperature, electrical, flow, etc.)
Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., ISO, NATA, or industry compliance frameworks)
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical documentation
High attention to detail and strong documentation skills
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
