The Cafeteria Attendant/Cook assist in preparation and service food items for Employee Dining Room in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and serve food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards per established menu from supervisor
Prepare set-up and salad bar items
set-up hotline with food retrieved from kitchen
Maintain the cleanliness of cafeteria kitchen and seating areas
restock condiments and paper goods as necessary
Date all food containers and rotate as per policies, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures
check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up
note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages
return all food items not used to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables
assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems
control food waste, loss and usage per policies
Requirements:
Prior Stewarding or Culinary experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions
Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 70 lbs
US work authorization is required
