Serves Café guests and operates point of sale system. Prepares food. Performs a variety of sanitation and food service duties in accordance with safety, sanitation and service standards.
Job Responsibility:
Maintains a safe, sanitary work environment conforming to policies and regulations
Operates and maintains food service equipment
Stores, labels and dates food items
uses the First In, First Out (FIFO) methodology
Operates point of sale system
Prepares menu items for Café guests and catering events following standardized recipes and food production schedules
Serves menu items for patients, Café guests and catering events utilizing correct servicing utensil and serving size
Sets up and stocks service areas
Follows HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point) principles for time and temperature
records per policy
Records and maintains accurate food production and leftover/waste records
Prepares pot/pan area and pot/pan washer prior to use
scrapes, soaks, washes, sanitizes and put puts/pan away following established procedures
Removes trash, boxes and other waste from the department
Cleans throughout the department including but not limited to surfaces, equipment, carts, walls, and floors
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Customer service experience
Clay County Food Handler permit or ServSafe certification within 30 days
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations
Nice to have:
High School Graduate
Food service and point of sale (cashier) experience
