Job Description:

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Cafe Team Leader to help drive a values-led, inclusive, and customer-focused environment at Summerland Farm, an iconic tourist destination and social enterprise proudly run by Aruma. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll support people with disabilities to build skills and thrive in a hospitality setting, all while delivering high-quality café service to our customers.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in hospitality
  • or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Previous barista experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Sound organisational skills and ability to prioritise work of a small team
  • Brings a positive attitude consistent with Summerland Farm’s ethos and Aruma’s values, contributing to an engaging workplace culture celebrating diversity and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising employees and or teams
  • Demonstrates respect towards people with a disability
  • A practical understanding of WHS requirements
  • Sufficient physical fitness to meet the manual handling and environmental requirements of the position
  • A current Australian driver’s license
  • Have or willing to obtain a First Aid Certificate & RSA
  • Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements (as per role and/or State)
