Job Description:

To oversee and manage all daily café operations, ensuring smooth service delivery, high food standards, and a welcoming customer experience from back-of-house to front-of-house.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day café operations to ensure efficient service delivery and consistent customer satisfaction
  • Plan and organise seasonal promotions, specials, and in-house events to attract and retain customers
  • Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff on menu planning – including new dish development, cost control, and ensuring consistent food quality and presentation
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and respond professionally to feedback or complaints
  • Implement and maintain rigorous food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards
  • oversee cleanliness of dining and service areas
  • Create and manage staff rosters in line with business needs and labor budget targets
  • Handle staff recruitment, onboarding, training, supervision, and periodic performance review to maintain a competent and motivated team
  • Manage inventory and stock control: order supplies, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain accurate purchasing and payment records
  • Oversee cash-handling procedures, POS operations, banking, and daily reconciliations — ensuring accurate financial controls
  • Assist the Director in sales forecasting, budgeting, and reviewing financial performance to support business planning and growth
  • Manage reservations and customer bookings, ensuring efficient guest flow and high-quality service coordination
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant health and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Relevant Qualification
  • At least 3 years of working experience is preferred
  • Customer service oriented
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to lead and manage the team
  • Passionate about good food, coffee culture, and delivering high standards of service
