Job Description

Chef Daniel Boulud brings modern French dining with classic technique to Toronto at Café Boulud, a French restaurant and brasserie offering bistro-inspired cuisine and signature rotisserie dishes. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch menus celebrate French classics with a Canadian twist. The Bartender is an essential member of the Café Boulud team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide exceptional quality and service to guests
  • greet each guest promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact and a smile
  • provide guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service
  • follow provincial and city alcohol law while adhering to Café Boulud's standards of service
  • have complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar
  • ensure all details of service are performed properly
  • perform additional side duties and assist in the absence of a bar porter or bar server if necessary

Requirements

  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Strong beverage knowledge regarding beer, wine and liquor is required. Must be of legal age to serve alcohol. Confident, outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request. Continuous standing for the majority of the shift
  • ability to lift up to 50lbs. Flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. Smart Serve certification is a must. At minimum 1 year of previous bartending experience, ideally in a fine dining or luxury environment. Exceptional communication skills, command of English language and personal confidence.
