Job Description:

Our QLD Water team is looking for 1 Cadet Drafter, where you will work with experienced engineers, designers and drafters to deliver dynamic drafting solutions in a variety of water engineering projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Learn all facets of CAD, drafting and design techniques and gain skills in relevant computer programs
  • Work under guidance of Engineers and Designers on engineering projects
  • Provide accurate and efficient drafting services for the Business Unit in accordance with project times and budgets, with detailed supervision

Requirements:

  • Completed QCE (or equivalent) with strong academic performance in Mathematics, Engineering, and English
  • OR currently enrolled in Diploma of Engineering – Technical, Advanced Diploma of Engineering or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Limited experience or keen interest in drafting and design in civil and structural space
  • Ability to gain and apply knowledge of engineering drawing techniques and CAD packages
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel)
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to problem solve and manage time effectively

  • Initiates, conducts and modifies respiratory care techniques in an emergency setting. Performs and evaluates blood sampling analysis with a thorough understanding of the values, and the importance and treatment of abnormal results
  • Works independently in all patient care areas and assists co-workers with patient care whenever possible. Is proficient in the electronic medical records and its interface with the Respiratory Care Department
  • Follows departmental safety guidelines. Completes all regulatory requirements. Completes annual proficiency evaluation of respiratory care equipment and procedures
