Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join their team and support the continued delivery of exceptional project outcomes. As a leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of precision metalwork, they deliver high‑quality architectural and structural fabrication projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled CAD Technician with a strong background in metal fabrication or structural engineering. You will play a key role in producing detailed drawings and models that support both production and installation teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Produce precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings for fabrication and installation
  • Work from client concepts, architectural plans, and engineer calculations
  • Develop complete drawing packs, including GA drawings, fabrication drawings for approval, and material schedules
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure design accuracy
  • Maintain document control, including versioning and revision procedures
  • Support ongoing design development and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Proficient in 3D modelling using Advanced Steel or Tekla
  • Previous experience in metal fabrication, architectural metalwork, and structural steel detailing
  • Strong understanding of design principles, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a design team
