Job Responsibility:
Draft plans/mark-ups for the purpose of creating construction documents
Review all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting for review
Revise plans according to client, manager, or reviewer comments
Assist in organizing and maintaining all CAD or CAD related files for clients, town, or county intake
Delegate responsibilities for submitting plans on time
Obtain work assignments of either specific design elements to CAD drafting duties from project manager with allocated budgets
Perform non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions under minimum supervision
Support assigned engineers, planners, landscape architects, or other technical positions by providing technical support and translating technical notes, sketches, electronic data and/or drawings into documentable technical solutions
Work closely with more senior staff members to learn and assist in design work
Perform work under moderate supervision
Receive direction on moderately complex assignments, tasks, and execution
Review work produced by junior staff for quality assurance
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience required
Associate's degree preferred
Three or more (3+) years of experience using CAD standards, preferably in the land development industry
Equivalent of computer certificate for CAD Class Training
Must have experience with AutoCAD and other engineering design software
Experience with computer applications and software such as, Microsoft office, etc.
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Ability to ask for additional direction and assistance when needed
High degree of discretion and ability to manage highly confidential information
High level of motivation and a problem-solving attitude
Strong sense of urgency in responding to constituents
Effective verbal and written communication skills
