Job Responsibility

  • Independently produce, modify, and review detailed CAD drawings from engineered designs and specifications
  • Ensure drawings comply with CAD standards, specifications, and project requirements prior to release
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and sales teams to resolve design conflicts
  • Convert conceptual and preliminary designs into construction and installation documents
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to CAD Technician I staff
  • Maintain accurate drawing files, documentation, and version control
  • Track and allocate time accurately across projects

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive CAD experience
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD across multiple versions
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Proficiency with common business and documentation tools, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, email, messaging platforms, and PDF review/editing software

Nice to have

  • Associate Degree or technical training
  • Experience with low‑voltage security systems
  • Exposure to Revit or 3D modeling tools
