Job Description:

Brindle & Green are seeking a CAD/GIS technician to support its growing business in the environmental consultancy sector based at either our Derby Head Office or new Milton Keynes Office. You will work alongside many of our technical teams to produce mapping and data to contribute to and enhance the company’s workflow.

Job Responsibility:

  • Translate and develop conceptual designs into CAD drawings, including: GA’s, Planning drawings, Layout drawings, Setting out drawings, SLD’s, PFD and P&ID using AutoCAD/Revit & other relevant CAD software
  • Collaborate with Project teams to create, update & manage plan production in accordance with project requirements & industry standards
  • Utilise a data platform to ensure accurate data management, version control & efficient project collaboration
  • Work in the technical teams to provide both consultative design support and in some instances supporting the installation and construction phase of the project works
  • Support and assist in the development stage of a project taking responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design preparation documents are provided in accordance with required timescales and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Previous CAD & GIS experience
  • Experience with creating layout drawings
  • Relevant engineering qualification, i.e. Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD is essential
  • Experience with Common Data Environments (e.g Viewpoint, BIM360/ACC or Projectwise)
  • Strong communication skill & ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects & prioritise workload
  • Able to adapt to new technologies & software as required
