The CAD Engineer will play a key role in producing precise technical drawings and plans using advanced CAD software. The role will see you working in a small tight knit team working closely with the wider engineering function. You will transform concepts into accurate, high‑quality designs that meet all required specifications and industry standards. Your work will directly support the successful delivery of engineering projects, ensuring every detail is executed with accuracy and professionalism.
Job Responsibility:
Update, maintain and develop detailed technical drawings using CAD software
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and specifications
Ensure that all designs meet the required standards and specifications
Review and modify designs based on feedback and project requirements
Maintain accurate records of designs and revisions
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on CAD software and design principles
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in CAD software and design
Requirements:
Experience in CAD design or a similar role
Good understanding of engineering principles and design standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and review and analyse problems
Experienced in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
Technical certification or diploma in engineering or a related field is preferred
Marine/Civil experience
