SP Industries, Inc. a leading manufacturer of pharmaceutical equipment, is seeking a highly skilled Drafter/Designer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our engineering team to translate their designs and specifications into detailed technical drawings. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating part numbers and ensuring the accuracy and quality of data entered into our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Job Responsibility:
Technical Drawing Creation: Work closely with engineers to develop accurate and detailed technical drawings and schematics using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools. These drawings will encompass various components and assemblies of pharmaceutical equipment
Conversion of Designs: Translate engineering designs, sketches, and specifications into comprehensive and precise drawings that adhere to industry standards and regulations, including expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Part Number Creation: Generate part numbers for components and assemblies in accordance with established naming conventions and organizational guidelines
ERP Data Entry: Enter design data, including part numbers, bill of materials (BOM), and other relevant information, into the ERP system with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of drawings and data entries to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements, including adherence to GD&T principles. Identify and rectify any discrepancies or inconsistencies
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and other cross-functional teams to support the development and execution of projects within established timelines and objectives
Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of drawings, revisions, and design changes throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Design, or related field preferred
Proven experience working as a drafter or designer in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools, with expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to produce high-quality technical drawings and documentation
Familiarity with ERP systems and experience in data entry and management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to pharmaceutical equipment design and manufacturing is a plus
