Job Description:

This is a Cactus Wellhead position and is located in Odessa, TX. Job Summary: Responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of assemblers, mechanics, shipping & receiving, and testing in the shop to ensure conformance to Company standards and meet production specifications and requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of assemblers, mechanics, shipping & receiving, and testing in the shop
  • Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies
  • Manage local safety program, complete safety reporting and conduct safety meetings
  • Ensure equipment is in working order and maintain good housekeeping
  • Diagnose problems and recommend solutions
  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications
  • Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements
  • Interpret Company policies and enforce safety regulations
  • Interpret specifications and job orders to workers, and assign duties
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality
  • Analyze and resolve work problems
  • Initiate plans to motivate workers
  • Maintain time of shop employees
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • or one to five years related experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of API Standards and specific Sections experience
  • Intermediate Computer Skills
  • Advanced Language Skills, Intermediate Mathematical Skills and Intermediate Reasoning Ability
