Cable Technician

• Install, repair, and maintain cable TV, internet, and phone systems in residential and commercial properties
• Run and route cables, including coaxial, fiber optic, and Ethernet, through walls, attics, and underground conduits
• Set up and configure modems, routers, and other networking equipment
• Conduct signal tests and troubleshoot connectivity issues using specialized tools
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining services, answering questions, and educating customers on proper equipment usage
• Document installations, repairs, and service reports for company records
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve network and service outages
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working condition

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications are a plus)
• Previous experience as a cable technician or in a related field preferred
• Knowledge of cable TV, fiber optics, and networking principles
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
