Cable Project Engineer

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of cable installation and trenching operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regional regulations
• Prepare and compile project documentation including Procedures, Task Plans, and RAMS, tailored to specific scopes of work
• Coordinate closely with site teams, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery
• Manage project schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor budgets, proactively identifying and mitigating risks
• Provide support throughout the operational phase, both on-site and from the office, ensuring engineering integrity and project continuity
• Deliver engineering excellence during project operations, including sourcing of local equipment and consumables, and preparing Management of Change documentation
• Offer technical guidance and troubleshoot issues throughout the project lifecycle
• Engage in all phases of cable lay and trenching projects—from planning to completion—ensuring safety, efficiency, and budget adherence at every stage

• BEng / BEng (Hons) in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience
• Demonstrated experience in project engineering for cable or pipe lay operations
• Offshore operational experience is essential
