We’re the team behind the UK’s telecom networks—building, upgrading, and keeping the country connected! ** IMMEDIATE START DATES AVAILABLE** This role falls under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) We are looking for Self Employed Cable Operative’s to work in and around the Black Country on the VM02 network. As a Cable Operative, you will be at the forefront of constructing, installing, and maintaining advanced telecommunications networks.

Job Responsibility

  • Building and maintaining new and existing core telecommunications access networks, including Copper, HFC, and overhead cables
  • Heavy cable pulling, spanning overhead lines, subducting, and blowing fibre
  • Keeping detailed records of your work using our internal database
  • Adhering to Virgin Media's high standards
  • Following all safety regulations, including the National Roads & Street Works Act
  • Ensuring all equipment is in excellent and safe working condition

Requirements

  • Sound practical knowledge and experience of Copper, HFC, and FTTP
  • NRSWA Unit 2 and PIA Accredited
  • Full, clean, and valid UK driving license (minimum 1 year)
  • DBS/necessary security checks will be carried out
