Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Cable Jointer to join our growing team in Wrexham. This is a permanent, full time role and the opportunity to join a business that is evolving. You will be responsible for the construction, repair and operation of electrical plant and equipment up to 11kV and should have a sound HV and LV electrical knowledge.

Job Responsibility

  • Construction, repair and operation of electrical plant and equipment up to 11kV
  • Responsible for the quality and compliance to standard of yours and others working on the project
  • Work on development sites and the public highway
  • Understand utility plans
  • Undertake cable jointing and network energisation activities
  • Responsible for the installation of electrical connections, working with an assistant
  • Preparation and use of tools and machinery, preparation of work sites for various works
  • Ensure completion of projects to agreed specifications and timescales

Requirements

  • Cable jointer qualification (or equivalent)
  • Valid EUSR or CSCS cards
  • HV jointer qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good understanding of sustainability and health and safety
  • Relevant knowledge of DNO policies and procedures
  • Sound HV and LV electrical knowledge

  • Ensure safety by using proper isolation and earthing procedures before starting work and removing them once work is completed
