Job Responsibility:

  • Fabricate cabinets and wood components from scratch
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plastic, and other materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans
  • Utilize woodworking machines, hand tools, and power tools
  • Attach parts and subassemblies using dowels, nails, screws, and clamps
  • Install cabinet hardware
  • Conduct repairs and installations of countertops, shelving, moldings, and partition walls
  • Work collaboratively with team members
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Work overtime as needed

Requirements:

  • Ability to commute/relocate to Calgary, AB before starting work
  • 1 year of millwright experience (preferred)
  • English language (preferred)
  • Day Shift availability (preferred)

  • Be a stakeholder in research and development activities for the aircraft cabin and participate in the evaluation of materials under development
  • Develop cabinet, mechanism and system components from concept to final prototype
  • Participate in the development of drawings and technical specifications for prototypes
  • Manufacture the different parts of prototypes and models using various tools
  • Provide solutions and resolve complex problems using manufacturing and prototyping techniques
  • Conduct studies, analyzes and calculations in order to guide, using general and specific technical parameters, design technicians and project directors in their work
