Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 2 years field experience as a C4I Senior Electronics Technician and/or Supervisor
Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs
Extensive Knowledge of industry-standard software and peripherals and a strong working knowledge of PCs, network and communications systems
Ability to innovate and exercise sound judgment in defining and resolving complex and difficult tasks
Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license
May be required to operate material handling equipment
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance
Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed

Job Responsibility

Troubleshoot/diagnose/repair complete C4I electronic systems, encompassing Tactical Communication (TACOM), Intelligence, Reconnaissance, Surveillance & Navigation (ISRN) Counter Radio Frequency Warfare (CREW) Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Defeat Systems and wiring
Follow plans and schedules procedures of C4I preventive maintenance based on manufacturer recommendations
Perform reconstitution inspection and repair procedures to return equipment to serviceable condition
Order parts required for mid-level repairs to electronic equipment, radios and other C4I equipment including mounting brackets and inform Supervision
Ensures security, limited access and safe storage of C4I equipment and any pilferable items
Performs inventory/serial number checks as required for accountability for all electronic equipment
Prepares and inspects assets for shipment by air/sea/surface transportation
Perform system testing to evaluate performance and functionality
Informs supervision of any shortfall in training and certifications
Monitor Vehicle Mechanics work near sensitive electronic equipment and provide over the shoulder training as required to ensure safety and security

Requirements

The ability to obtain, maintain and access classified information at the TS/SCI level
Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), and or Audiovisual Network Professional (AVP)
Comprehensive knowledge of service, maintenance, operation procedures, and troubleshooting of IT and AV related systems and equipment
Command of AV equipment assembly and testing
Possesses and effectively utilizes problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with ability to create and interpret a variety of technical materials
Excellent customer service, relationship-building, and ability to effectively interact with others in the performance of assigned duties
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and technical directives
Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and execute scheduled tasks individually and within a team environment
Willingness and ability to learn new concepts and techniques

Job Responsibility

Performs the installation and cabling of electronic equipment and infrastructure in support of various C4I/IT communications systems equipment
Terminates and dresses all Ethernet SM/MM, fiber optic cabling to MPO/MTP, and coaxial cable
Installs, tests, and documents the installation of monitors, speakers, video switches, microphones, control panels, amplifiers, and VTC codecs in accordance with Installation Development Plan (IDP)
Ensures required technical abilities are maintained
Contributes to all phases of the IT and AV infrastructure installation or upgrade
Installs racks/cabinets/credenzas and all peripheral equipment
Mounting of monitors, speakers and other devices on walls
Dresses cables neatly and with adequate slack to enable proper movement of sliding shelves
Updates and maintains all design documents by marking all “as-built” changes during installation
Produces and installs for each installed cable, computer-generated labels to be placed at both ends of each cable
