The Field Service Representative (FSR) is a critical onsite role responsible for ensuring permanent technical support and representing Airbus Defence and Space (ADS) Customer Services for the C295 Platform at customer bases across India. The FSR acts as the single technical point of contact, dedicated to supporting the customer in ensuring safe, reliable, and economical aircraft operations.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the main daily interface between AD&S and the customer's maintenance and operational organizations during fleet acceptance, Entry Into Service (EIS), and ongoing services
Act as the focal point for all In-Service Support aspects, proactively detecting and solving AD&S faults/errors in operational/technical documentation, engineering support, spare parts discrepancies, and any contractual deviations
Assess perceived customer satisfaction and collect feedback to drive service improvement
Coordinate all customer visits, meetings, Working Parties, and necessary activities with different AD&S organizations and external suppliers on Main Operating Bases (MOBs)
Assist Programme Teams with planning, tracking, status reporting, and data analysis for internal and external stakeholders
Provide expert advice to the customer's technical personnel on troubleshooting, maintenance, repair procedures, modification embodiment, maintenance programs, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
Coordinate AD&S and customer maintenance teams for both heavy and line maintenance tasks to ensure optimal support
Lead, monitor, or advise AD&S maintenance teams and external organizations, and coordinate AD&S disciplines during technical investigations and problem-solving
Advise the customer on components warranty management, auxiliary workshop functions (Engines, Propellers, Batteries, etc.), and ensure correct processes are in place for technical/safety issue reporting
Ensure correct processes for implementing modifications (Service Bulletins, authorized repairs, etc.), assessing aircraft status, and coordinating maintenance plans for compliance
Collect, monitor, and report relevant operational, logistical, maintenance, and safety data to AD&S, and analyze fleet activity to recommend necessary improvements to maintenance schedules and practices
Report functionally to the Head of FSR, Service Programs, and AMTAC for fleet topic analysis and correction
Detect training requirements for customer maintainers/operators, coordinate necessary information to complete technician skills, and provide On-the-Job Training as required
Assist and coach the customer in tracking and solving technical faults across the fleet
Assess the compliance of local facilities, check spares requests prone to hamper availability, supervise IPL and GSE, and ensure proper import/export procedures and protocols are implemented
Provide technical and logistical support for Demonstration Tours and Ferry Flights as needed
Provide support for GSE validation
Requirements:
Educated to an Aeronautical Engineering Degree level OR hold an EASA PART 66 rating
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Part 145 or Part M organization within an airline and/or MRO environment
Type rating on C295 and/or ATR Family with PW 127 engines
Familiar with Aircraft Technical documentation usage
Negotiation level of English (mandatory)
Negotiation level of Hindi (mandatory)
Nice to have:
Previous experience in handling military transport aircraft and/or propeller aircraft is highly desirable
Expertise within a Maintenance Control Center would be a plus
Highly motivated by customer support
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability for team working in a challenging environment
