Job Description

Are you a passionate C# developer who thrives on building high-performance, real-time systems? Join our Trading Risk team and help shape the tools that drive decision-making in a fast-paced trading environment. At Susquehanna, technology is at the core of everything we do. Our Trading Risk team develops mission-critical systems that provide real-time market risk insights across desks, asset classes, and global markets. These tools are used daily by traders, Compliance, and executive leadership to analyze risk, limits, counterparty exposure, P&L, and more.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop real-time risk systems used throughout the trading floor, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability
  • Partner with traders, Compliance, and fellow technologists to design and deliver innovative solutions that respond to evolving business needs
  • Gain exposure across desks and financial products, contributing to systems that touch on pricing, market data, scenarios, and risk metrics
  • Work across the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design through to production deployment and support
  • Expand your technical toolkit, with hands-on experience in distributed systems, real-time messaging, and high-performance computing

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in C# and object-oriented design, with solid experience across both server-side and desktop applications (WPF, WinForms, etc.)
  • Experience with multi-threading, performance tuning, and real-time messaging technologies
  • A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills—comfortable working closely with traders, Compliance, and engineering peers
  • A passion for problem-solving and innovation, with an interest in financial markets and risk systems
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Nice to have

  • Experience in risk or trading systems, particularly around derivative pricing, P&L, or Greeks
  • Familiarity with Tibco RV or similar messaging middleware in real-time applications
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and a track record of continuous improvement in software delivery

What we offer

  • A collaborative culture that values ideas and innovation
  • A healthy work-life balance with reasonable hours and excellent perks—free breakfast and lunch, gym reimbursement, social events, and more
  • The opportunity to make an impact in a fast-moving trading environment, surrounded by smart and supportive colleagues
