Job Description:

We’re partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the Wetumpka area to find a Buyer who will play a key role in supporting supply chain and procurement operations. This position reports directly to the CFO and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on cost control, supplier strategy, and overall operational efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and supplies to support daily production
  • Analyze MRP and generate purchase orders to meet production demand
  • Partner with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages, and lead root cause analysis and resolution
  • Track and report key metrics to drive cost savings and improve performance
  • Maintain and optimize ERP data, including parts, bills of materials, and supplier records
  • Support forecasting, commodity tracking, and market trend analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on new product launches and ongoing product changes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, MRP, and ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
