Buyer

• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate sourcing
• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers based on capability, quality, delivery, and reliability
• Manage day-to-day procurement activity to meet MRP demands and ensure on-time delivery
• Lead price and contract negotiations to secure favourable terms, costs, and schedules
• Create and manage purchase orders in line with company policies and compliance standards
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and resolve queries efficiently
• Drive cost-saving and supply chain optimisation initiatives to support business objectives

• Proven experience as a Buyer within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Experience buying into the Steel Industry would be advantageous
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and MRP systems (ERP experience required)
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
