The Buyer is responsible for managing purchasing of materials and services, ensuring cost efficiency, inventory levels, quality, and on-time delivery. They will need to maintain supplier relationships, negotiate lead times, and monitor performance. Next to that, they will support process improvements across procurement operations.
Job Responsibility:
Review and convert material requirements into Purchase Orders and manage the supplier communications and delivery confirmations
Manage and control inventory levels for direct raw materials, consumables & hardware
Monitor the supplier and Supply Chain Team performance KPI’s such as On Time Delivery
Resolve and escalate blocked supplier invoices
Initiate & drive process improvements using DBS (Danaher Business System) and DMS (Danaher Materials System) tools
Requirements:
University degree (or equivalent experience)
Related fields: Applied Economics, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration
Languages: good verbal and written knowledge of Dutch and English are a must
Advanced MS Office skills
Comfortable using data to inform decisions and drive value
Nice to have:
Procurement or purchasing experience within supply chain
