We are looking for a highly organized Buyer to join our team in Elma, New York. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to essential procurement processes within the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in health information management and procurement systems, ensuring seamless coordination and efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Manage procurement processes related to health information management systems and applications
Evaluate and select suppliers to ensure the best quality and value for organizational needs
Oversee purchasing activities involving systems such as McKesson, EHR platforms, and IBM AS/400
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and fulfill procurement requirements
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information
Monitor vendor performance and address any issues to maintain service quality
Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and organizational policies
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess industry trends
Support the integration and optimization of Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) systems
Provide regular updates and reports on purchasing activities to management
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in health information management and procurement
Proficiency with Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA)
Familiarity with McKesson and electronic health record (EHR) systems
Strong knowledge of IBM AS/400 platform
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions
Effective communication skills to collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders
Prior experience in a procurement or buyer role within the healthcare industry is preferred
