Job Responsibility

Order Management: Placing and authorising purchase orders within assigned limits, while expediting orders and tracking deliveries
Inventory Oversight: Maintaining inventory availability and minimising working capital investment
Decision Making: Executing stock replenishment, special orders, and drop ship buying, always making cost-effective buying decisions
Communication: Ensuring accurate purchase order quantities, costs, and terms compliance, while effectively communicating with suppliers and internal departments
Problem Resolution: Addressing shipping errors and following up on order statuses to ensure timely delivery
Supplier Performance: Assisting in evaluating supplier performance based on delivery, fill rates, and other key metrics

Requirements

2-3 years of purchasing experience within a supply chain environment
Strong knowledge of purchasing and inventory concepts, practices, and procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in analytical skills and computer systems, including Excel and Power BI
