We have a great opportunity with one of our clients who is adding to their team due to recent growth! In this role, you will be responsible for buying parts and materials --ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational needs.
Job Responsibility:
Import/Export experience in procurement and would love background in Aviation
Manage procurement activities -- including import and export
Negotiate pricing, contracts and strategic sourcing initiatives
Ensure cost reduction goals are met
Create purchase orders and work closely with Accounts Payable for on-time payment
Ensure goals are met within supply chain team
Maintain master tracking spreadsheet and work daily in ERP system
Collaborate with internal customer support team and external partners -- strong communication is a must
Act as back-up to accounts payable (when needed)
Requirements:
At least 3-4 years of experience in a buyer, purchasing or procurement position
Intermediate Excel skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication and negotiation skills
