Buyer

We are recruiting for a Buyer to join our General Merchandise Commercial team at Poundland & Dealz. The Buyer will lead retail buying for our Home category (including cushions, throws, other textiles, candles, picture fames and decorative objects) or Everyday Home category (including storage, food containers and wrap, and kitchen accessories). This is a fantastic opportunity to implement your buying expertise in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where your decisions make a measurable impact on the commercial success of the business and help make a difference every day to our customers. As a Buyer, you’ll support our Senior Buyer to drive performance across your category - ensuring the right products land in store at the right time and the right price. You’ll manage everything from building category strategies, supplier negotiations and sales analysis to range planning for core and new product development, managing stock levels and sample management. This is a challenging yet highly rewarding role working in a fast-paced environment where you’ll be responsible for driving growth in the category, maximising margins and managing critical paths. Based from our Customer Support Centre in Walsall, the role offers flexibility to work on a hybrid basis. This vacancy is a 12 month fixed term contract.
