Working with a growing company that is seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Buyer to support day‑to‑day purchasing activities for one of their manufacturing facilities. This Buyer role serves as a key link between plant operations and the Supply Chain team—ensuring materials are purchased on time, inventory levels are maintained, and production remains uninterrupted.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate the procurement of materials and components to support production schedules
Manage supplier relationships, including monitoring delivery performance and addressing quality concerns
Ensure timely order placement and adjust procurement schedules based on production needs
Maintain accurate records of supplier terms, including lead times, order requirements, and safety stock
Provide purchasing support for other team members when needed
Participate in cost-saving initiatives and contribute to process improvement projects
Collaborate with plant operations to ensure smooth communication and alignment of purchasing activities
Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock levels
Support compliance with quality assurance and environmental health and safety standards
Assist in developing and maintaining departmental procedures and documentation
Requirements:
4+ years of purchasing, materials management, or scheduling experience
Strong understanding of MRP systems and replenishment methods
Excellent communication and supplier‑management skills
Highly organized, proactive, and able to problem‑solve with minimal supervision
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
Experience with Syteline or similar ERP systems preferred

Lean / Six Sigma exposure
