Buyer

• Coordinate the procurement of materials and components to support production schedules
• Manage supplier relationships, including monitoring delivery performance and addressing quality concerns
• Ensure timely order placement and adjust procurement schedules based on production needs
• Maintain accurate records of supplier terms, including lead times, order requirements, and safety stock
• Provide purchasing support for other team members when needed
• Participate in cost-saving initiatives and contribute to process improvement projects
• Collaborate with plant operations to ensure smooth communication and alignment of purchasing activities
• Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock levels
• Support compliance with quality assurance and environmental health and safety standards
• Assist in developing and maintaining departmental procedures and documentation

• 4+ years of purchasing, materials management, or scheduling experience
• Strong understanding of MRP systems and replenishment methods
• Excellent communication and supplier‑management skills
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to problem‑solve with minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Experience with Syteline or similar ERP systems preferred
