Job Description

Robert Half client is in need of a Buyer for a long-term contract. The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods, materials, and services to meet the operational needs of the company.

Job Responsibility

  • Place and manage purchase orders to approved suppliers (price, quantity, delivery)
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, forecasts, and reorder points in ERP
  • Track order status and follow up to ensure on‑time material delivery
  • Negotiate pricing and terms within established sourcing agreements
  • Expedite materials as needed to support production schedules
  • Monitor supplier performance (cost, delivery, quality) and resolve issues
  • Support continuous improvement in purchasing and inventory processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • Prior experience in a purchasing or supply chain role is highly desirable
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Proficiency with purchasing software and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
