Robert Half client is in need of a Buyer for a long-term contract. The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods, materials, and services to meet the operational needs of the company.
Job Responsibility:
Place and manage purchase orders to approved suppliers (price, quantity, delivery)
Maintain accurate inventory levels, forecasts, and reorder points in ERP
Track order status and follow up to ensure on‑time material delivery
Negotiate pricing and terms within established sourcing agreements
Expedite materials as needed to support production schedules
Monitor supplier performance (cost, delivery, quality) and resolve issues
Support continuous improvement in purchasing and inventory processes
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred
Prior experience in a purchasing or supply chain role is highly desirable
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
Proficiency with purchasing software and MS Office Suite
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
