We are looking for a skilled Buyer to join our team for a long-term contract position. In this role, you will play a key part in managing procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. Job Responsibility:
Issue and manage purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials
Monitor and optimize metrics related to open purchase orders, receipts, and inventory turnover
Communicate with vendors to address performance issues and escalate supply chain risks or opportunities as needed
Utilize Microsoft Excel and other tools to analyze data and support decision-making processes
Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing activities with business objectives
Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement best practices
Maintain accurate records of transactions and supplier communications
Requirements:
Proficiency in Excel
Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team
A minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or finance
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience
Knowledge of supply chain management principles and buying processes
