We are looking for a motivated Buyer / Planner to join our team on a contract to hire basis in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In this role, you will oversee the procurement and planning of materials to ensure a seamless supply chain that supports production and customer demand. Job Responsibility:
Coordinate the procurement of materials to meet production schedules and customer requirements
Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely availability of necessary supplies
Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to optimize purchasing activities
Analyze production schedules and align material planning accordingly
Review and adjust orders as needed to address changes in demand or supply chain disruptions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing strategies with overall business objectives
Track and report on procurement activities to ensure compliance with budgets and timelines
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within purchasing operations
Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations
Manage and resolve issues related to supplier performance or material quality
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain management
Proficiency with Excel
Strong knowledge of ERP systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams
