Job Description

Join our EU Sourcing team in Nottingham as a Sourcing professional focused on Sun Care and Soltan. You'll help shape a customer‑led, commercially strong Own Brand range, working closely with global sourcing partners, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality SPF products that meet our strategic goals.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the end‑to‑end sourcing and buying process, including supplier negotiations, cost management, product development, and ongoing supplier performance
  • Managing day‑to‑day supplier relationships, driving value, and ensuring products meet quality, compliance, and sustainability expectations
  • A strong understanding of market insights, customer behaviour, and category trends will help you identify opportunities and make informed recommendations
  • Working alongside Brand, Technical, Supply, Trading teams, Finance and Sourcing stakeholders you will ensure alignment across all stages of the product lifecycle, supporting effective decision‑making
  • Contribute to the development of an innovative SPF offering, keeping Boots at the forefront of Sun Care
  • The role may include occasional domestic or international travel for supplier meetings or sourcing activity

Requirements

  • Experience in Buying, Sourcing, Category, or Commercial roles, ideally within retail, FMCG, or consumer products
  • Strong commercial acumen, confidence in negotiations, and the ability to build productive supplier relationships
  • Confidence in interpreting data, understand trends, and translate insights into practical actions
  • Comfortable working at pace, managing multiple priorities and collaborating across teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Resilience and sound judgement when navigating challenges or shifting priorities
  • A passion for product is important, particularly within beauty, skincare, or Sun Care
  • Curiosity, problem‑solving ability, and a mindset that will help you succeed in this dynamic category

Nice to have

  • A passion for retail and an understanding of key criteria for own brand success
  • Experience with Own Brand or international sourcing is an advantage but not essential
  • Curiosity about product innovation and emerging customer trends
  • Familiarity with beauty, skincare, or Sun Care categories
