Job Description:

As a Butchery & Seafood Advisor you'll support our stores in delivering a best in class offer across these key fresh departments. Based at our Support Office but spending plenty of time out in store this role is all about lifting capability, performance and consistency across our butchery and seafood teams. You'll work closely with Store Owners, Managers and department teams to provide hands on support, coaching and advice, helping them get the best out of their people, product and processes. This is a highly practical role where you'll be on the tools when needed, demonstrating techniques coaching team and bringing a strong focus on quality yield and presentation. You'll also contribute to new store set ups and refurbishments, ensuring stores are set up for success from day one.

Requirements:

  • Extensive industry experience including leading a supermarket / retail butchery environment (with seafood exposure)
  • Strong technical ability across meat and seafood preparation, with confidence to demonstrate and teach others
  • A solid understanding of yield, GP, shrinkage and cost control
  • Experience with stock management, food safety and health & safety requirements
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with a wide range of people and teams
