Job Description

Alexandra New World is a proudly family-owned supermarket serving the Central Otago community. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Butchery Manager to lead our butchery department. This is a hands-on leadership role combining butchery and management responsibilities. As Butchery Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the department.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing stock, ordering and stocktakes
  • Maintaining hygiene, food safety, health and safety standards
  • Leading, training and rostering
  • Delivering excellent customer service and product advice
  • Creating displays, promotions and departmental specials
  • Monitoring production, quality, waste and profitability

Requirements

  • Supervisory or management experience
  • Strong technical butchery skills and proven leadership
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with stock management and ordering
