Job Description

PAK’nSAVE Rangiora is on the lookout for someone who is interested in upskilling to become a qualified butcher. We pride ourselves on consistently achieving high success rates across our training and apprenticeship programs. You’ll train alongside a skilled, supportive team of butchers who are dedicated to helping you successfully complete your butcher apprenticeship. This is a permanent, full-time 40-hour position. Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 5:00 – 15:30 = 40 Hours. We’re committed to mentoring and supporting the successful applicant through a 3-year apprenticeship, completing the New Zealand Certificate in Butchery, Level 4.

Job Responsibility

  • Learn how to slice, mince and bone products
  • Learn how to tray, pack, and present products for sale
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of Food Safety and Health & Safety
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the butchery department

Requirements

  • Applicants must have New Zealand Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or a valid Work Permit
  • Undergo a pre-employment drug test
