Requirements

Manage day-to-day operations of the butcher shop
Hire and onboard new staff
Train employees on meat preparation and proper use of equipment
Coordinate with vendors and order supplies as needed
Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses
Add new items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences
Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
Ensure all butcher areas are clean and tidy

providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to customers
Uses manual cutting utensils, band saw and slicing machine to prepare meats for selling
Cuts carcasses, sides and quarters, removes bones from meat and trims and prepares standard cuts of meat
Uses sausage machine and salami mixer and cooker
