The Innovation in Digital Services team has the responsibilities of defining the innovation process for Customer Services, executing this process and delivering innovative services for Digital Services and supporting other S Business Lines in their own innovation. In Digital Innovation, aligned with Airbus Customer Services strategy objectives, Business Value Architecture, as part of the Design thinking methodology, is all about assessing and managing the business viability while defining business models and related growth engines for all the ideas developed into the Digital Innovation funnel. The role, teamed with Strategic Designers and Solution Innovators, will deliver innovative services into new markets, with new end users and with innovative technologies. As Business Value Architect, you ensure that the innovation initiative being pursued, is generating value (quantitative value substantiated with tangible facts) for both Airbus and the targeted customers is developed in the most efficient way (Cost, lead time, scope) in order to generate the expected EBIT (in a short term period), secure the business case
Job Responsibility:
Assess the financial value created by solving a customer problem/pain point and derive a potential level of revenues for Airbus
Define business model options and case for each initiative (products and/or services) being assessed
Develop the economic model and business plan for each initiative (products and/or services)
Setup key performance indicator for each value drivers
Monitor and report key business and customer success measures
Assess internal capabilities and capacities to develop a sourcing strategy
Quantify business value and funding models
Collaborate with your Digital Marketing, Digital Sales and Strategic Design & Early Adoption counterparts, to deliver the market analysis, the competition analysis, best Early Adopters candidates and initial go-to-market strategy (including time to market, pricing strategy)
Collaborate with your Strategic Designers & Early Adoption and Solution Innovators counterparts, as well as customers/end users, to define a Minimum Viable Product
Up to MVP (Minimum Viable Product) maturity stage, ensure the squad is consistently synthesising customer and market feedback to recommend opportunities for change or improvement in subsequent releases
Requirements:
8 to 10+ years experience with strategy development, business planning and future visioning, as well as quantitative and economic modelling (preferred) in the field of Air Transport and Aerospace (preferred)
Good understanding of digital technologies and business models
A bachelor’s degree (business, engineering, economics, strategy or equivalent from a top-tier institution)
A master’s degree (postgraduate, MBA or equivalent study)
Experience in a high-pressure start-up environment with exposure to multidisciplinary teams and/or involvement with a top-tier consulting firm
Ability to travel during key project phases
