Job Description

We are looking for a Business Systems Consultant to join a team supporting a high‑visibility modernization initiative to streamline and re‑platform key service delivery processes. The position will play a critical role in guiding business partners through initiative initiation, RFx/vendor selection, and early implementation planning for ServiceNow Legal Service Delivery and Contract Operations. This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on platform decisioning, solution framing, and implementation planning. The consultant will work closely with Corporate Legal, Legal Operations, IT, Business Systems partners, and external vendors to translate complex business needs into clear requirements, delivery strategies, and actionable implementation decisions.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead initiative initiation activities including discovery, requirements definition, scope refinement, dependency mapping, and solution framing
  • Drive RFx and vendor engagement efforts by supporting evaluation approaches, coordinating vendors, developing structured requirements, and providing SOW input and review
  • Translate business needs into actionable requirements and configuration recommendations, ensuring traceability from problem statements to proposed solutions
  • Partner with internal leaders to shape governance deliverables such as initiation outputs, implementation assumptions, and business case inputs
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors to define implementation readiness, including delivery roadmaps, milestones, risks, dependencies, and integration considerations
  • Own and maintain governance-ready artifacts including requirements documentation, decision logs, implementation plans, and executive-level summaries
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing clarity, structure, and momentum throughout the initiative

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in business systems, consulting, implementations, and complex delivery leadership
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience, specifically in implementation and configuration decisioning (translating requirements into platform design and guiding configuration choices)
  • Proven experience leading initiatives from discovery through implementation planning and delivery
  • Strong business analysis and systems consulting skills, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, gap analysis, and traceability from business needs to solution design
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business problems into actionable requirements and platform recommendations
  • Experience driving vendor engagement deliverables, including RFx support, structured requirements documentation, and SOW review
  • Solid understanding of implementation governance and delivery mechanics, including planning, milestones, dependencies, risks, and operational readiness
  • Working knowledge of analytics and reporting best practices with a data-driven decision-making mindset
  • Proficiency with enterprise collaboration and documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Visio, Azure DevOps, and related platforms

  • Experience with ServiceNow Legal Service Delivery and/or Contract Operations modules
  • Proven leadership of two or more ServiceNow implementations or major ServiceNow programs
  • Experience supporting enterprise integrations, data flows, reporting needs, and downstream dependencies
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience working in large, complex organizations with multiple stakeholder groups and formal governance structures
