Tier4 is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to play a pivotal role in the transformation of a core life insurance technology platform. This is a high‑impact opportunity to drive a complex, enterprise‑wide migration that directly supports the continuity, scalability, and future growth of critical life, annuity, and disability income products. In this role, you will serve as a trusted partner to business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors—translating complex business needs into clear, actionable system requirements while ensuring seamless integration between legacy and strategic platforms. Your work will help safeguard business operations, improve capabilities, and modernize the foundation of the policy administration ecosystem.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the elicitation, analysis, validation, and documentation of detailed business and system requirements across product, operations, and technology teams
Perform comprehensive gap analysis and business capability assessments, identifying functional and technical gaps between legacy and target platforms
Translate business needs into well‑defined technical requirements, enabling development and integration teams to deliver effective solutions
Analyze and document data migration and integration requirements, including legacy interface redesign, data mapping, dependency analysis, and reuse opportunities
Partner with business leaders and IT stakeholders to resolve production issues, support root cause analysis, and guide priority decisions
Facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder meetings, ensuring alignment, clear outcomes, and timely delivery of documentation
Collaborate with vendors to evaluate new functionality, assess impacts, and support implementation decisions
Influence and negotiate business and system requirements to balance operational needs, technical feasibility, and long‑term strategy
Support all phases of project execution, including planning, development, testing, and post‑implementation stabilization
Act as a subject‑matter advisor, helping both business and technology teams fully understand system behavior and business rules
Provide leadership during escalations, complex issue resolution, and cross‑functional coordination
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of experience working with a Master Policy Record or Policy Administration Platform
5+ years in a Business Systems Analyst supporting enterprise‑level systems in Life, Annuity, or Disability Income – Life Insurance Domain Knowledge required
Strong experience eliciting, documenting, and managing business and system requirements for large, complex initiatives
Proven ability to lead requirements sessions with diverse stakeholder groups
Expertise using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a collaborative environment
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to independently own and drive business analysis efforts from concept through delivery
Nice to have:
Experience supporting Life, Annuity, and Disability Income insurance products
Prior work with Product, Distribution, Policy Administration, and Operational Support teams
Hands‑on experience with platform migrations, including legacy system decommissioning and interface redesign
Familiarity with testing methodologies and validation processes
Ability to advise on future‑state capabilities based on customer, agent, and internal needs
Comfort operating as a leader across both business and technology domains
