We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Phoenix, Arizona. This role will partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to analyze business processes, gather requirements, and support the design and implementation of technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and business performance.
Job Responsibility
Work with business users, project teams, and leadership to gather, document, and validate business and system requirements
Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimization
Translate business needs into functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and user stories
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure solutions align with organizational goals
Support system implementation efforts, including testing, training, documentation, and post-go-live support
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirement sessions with cross-functional teams
Assist with data analysis, reporting requirements, and system integration efforts
Track project deliverables, risks, issues, and change requests as needed
Help develop and maintain documentation for workflows, system configurations, and standard operating procedures
Participate in user acceptance testing and help resolve defects or process gaps
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role
Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
Strong understanding of systems analysis, process mapping, and workflow documentation
Experience working with cross-functional teams in business and technical environments
Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or other enterprise applications
Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Visio, Jira, Confluence, SQL, or similar platforms preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have
Experience supporting system implementations or upgrades
Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Industry experience in healthcare, finance, manufacturing, or professional services is a plus
