Job Description:

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our team on a contract basis. This position will work closely with accounting, finance, data, and engineering teams to turn operational needs into effective system and reporting solutions. The role is ideal for someone who understands accounting operations, financial platforms, and data quality, and who can connect business priorities with scalable technical execution.

Job Responsibility:

Act as the key point of coordination between finance stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are clearly translated into system-focused solutions
Drive improvements across financial and accounting applications, including configuration updates, process refinement, and feature enhancement planning
Support and maintain integrations between core business platforms, data environments, and automation tools to enable dependable financial workflows
Collaborate with reporting and data teams to deliver accurate, timely information for analytics, dashboards, and operational decision-making
Create and maintain business requirements, functional documentation, process maps, and test plans to support system changes and ongoing support
Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort in accounting activities such as reconciliations, close support, and recurring reporting tasks through automation
Oversee testing, validation, and rollout activities for new functionality while helping ensure stable performance after deployment
Investigate system issues, data inconsistencies, and reporting gaps, then coordinate with internal teams or external partners to resolve them effectively
Assist finance operations during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles by supporting the underlying systems, controls, and data processes
Partner with audit and compliance stakeholders to help maintain controls, support audit readiness, and uphold documentation and governance standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline
At least 7 years of experience in business systems analysis or a comparable role supporting finance or accounting technology
Strong working knowledge of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and close activities
Hands-on experience with NetSuite is preferred, including support for financial processes and system optimization
Demonstrated exposure to tools such as Workiva, Sigma, Workato, BigQuery, Power BI, or similar reporting and automation platforms
Experience working with system integrations, data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-based environments such as AWS or comparable infrastructure
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Familiarity with audit, compliance, and control-oriented environments, including support for financial reporting accuracy and process governance.
