Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise planning, reporting, and consolidation activities in Troy, Michigan. This Long-term Contract position will serve as a senior resource for Hyperion and Essbase Planning administration while partnering with Finance and IT teams to strengthen performance, reliability, and business alignment. The role will also contribute to ongoing enhancement initiatives by translating operational needs into effective system solutions and supporting future-state planning processes.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee day-to-day administration of Hyperion-based financial applications, including Essbase Planning, to maintain system stability, usability, and performance
Resolve advanced technical and functional issues, identify root causes, and apply improvements that reduce disruption and strengthen system efficiency
Support planning and forecasting cycles by configuring forms, business rules, workflows, and access controls that align with business requirements
Work closely with Finance, Corporate Accounting, and IT stakeholders to convert reporting and consolidation needs into practical technical solutions
Contribute expertise to financial systems enhancement and implementation efforts, including evaluation, design, testing, and deployment of improved tools and processes
Create and maintain clear documentation such as procedures, process maps, compliance-related records, and support materials for end users
Deliver training sessions and ongoing guidance to users and team members to encourage effective system adoption and knowledge sharing
Apply best practices in financial systems management to improve scalability, reporting accuracy, and overall operational effectiveness

Requirements:

5 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, or financial systems support
Strong hands-on knowledge of Hyperion applications, including Essbase Planning, or comparable enterprise performance management platforms
Experience supporting system implementation, upgrade, or transformation initiatives within a finance environment
Solid understanding of general ledger structures, financial consolidations, and core statements including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and recommend process or configuration improvements
Background working with planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance-related documentation
Effective collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across finance, accounting, and technology teams
