The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and the Enterprise Platforms that they need. The BSA translates business needs into scalable, well-governed solutions across the company’s enterprise platforms. In addition to core business analysis responsibilities, this role performs some hands-on configuration and administration within platforms such as ServiceNow and Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams) and supports the development of automation and AI-enabled solutions, including low-code workflows and agents. This role is ideal for a systems-minded analyst who enjoys both working with people and getting their hands into the platform, helping ensure solutions are not only well-designed but also well-implemented and adopted.
Job Responsibility:
Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and process reviews
Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria
Partner with business stakeholders across IT, Operations, Finance, HR, Marketing, Culinary, Risk, and other teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
Act as a trusted advisor, helping stakeholders understand platform capabilities, limitations, and tradeoffs
Support roadmap planning by surfacing trends, recurring needs, and cross-functional opportunities
Perform day-to-day configuration and administration within ServiceNow, catalog items, reports, dashboards and user access
Perform configuration and content administration within Microsoft 365, including SharePoint sites, lists, permissions, forms, and Teams-enabled workflows
Work with managed service providers to implement complex workflows or automations
Support platform hygiene by maintaining documentation, configurations, and data quality standards
Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Platforms Manager to align work with governance and architectural standards
Design and implement low-code or no-code automation using tools such as Power Automate and ServiceNow workflows
Help translate business problems into agent-ready logic, prompts, and workflows
Support user acceptance testing (UAT), rollout planning, and post-launch optimization
Monitor adoption and usage metrics
gather feedback and recommend improvements
Help manage intake, prioritization, and governance processes for platform enhancements
Coordinate with vendors or internal teams when integrations or external solutions are required
Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, security controls, and compliance needs
Requirements:
3–7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role
Hands-on experience configuring or administering enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow and/or Microsoft 365 (SharePoint/Teams)
Experience supporting or experimenting with AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or platform-based agents
Exposure to governance, intake, or portfolio management models
Strong ability to translate business problems into practical, scalable system solutions
Experience facilitating discussions with non-technical stakeholders and technical teams
Comfort balancing analysis, configuration, and delivery responsibilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience supporting system implementations, enhancements, or platform rollouts
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery approaches
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
