Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to lead the requirements and analysis phase for a web-based modernization project. This initiative involves migrating legacy data management systems to a new digital solution to improve the collection, storage and distribution of regulatory data. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to document requirements, present implementation options and manage the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including intensive QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Job Responsibility

  • Gather, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements while identifying opportunities for process improvement
  • Develop as-is and to-be business processes, activity diagrams, and entity relationship diagrams using BPMN and UML
  • Compose functional design specifications, including UI/UX wireframes, screen mock-ups, and report layouts
  • Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks to write and edit user stories, managing project tasks via tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Lead UAT activities, provide QA support, and track, triage, and resolve project defects and issues
  • Prepare operational procedures and training materials, deliver user training, and facilitate the final solution rollout
  • Support technical teams in ensuring adherence to accessibility standards, security threat assessments, and privacy impact assessments

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in medium to large-scale IT projects, specifically focused on modernization and legacy system replacement
  • Extensive experience facilitating joint-application-design (JAD) sessions, interviewing subject matter experts, and mapping complex business processes
  • Proven track record in creating data modeling blueprints, architecture diagrams, and detailed technical design specifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience using Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer service orientation
  • University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
